The Timmons Twins on HBO's Euphoria & Working With Zendaya

By Sulaiman Alfadhli | August 30, 2019 | Television

YouTubers-turned-actors Tristan and Tyler Timmons landed a role of a lifetime on HBO’s Euphoria earlier this year. Since then, they’ve given audiences plenty of laughs as the mischievous twins, Roy and Troy, each polar opposites on the show.

In their latest chat with Los Angeles Confidential, the duo share their favorite moments from season one of the HBO hit.

When you look back at season one, are there moments that stand out to you as favorites?
TIMMONS TWINS: The scene in episode one with us, Jacob and Algee in which the characters discuss ‘Cassie’ will always be one of our favorites. Everybody was cracking jokes at each other and it was all smiles from the start of filming until the end of filming.

What was the experience of working with the cast and crew, as well as creator Sam Levinson like?
It was a great experience! This is actually our first recurring TV role and they made us feel very comfortable. Witnessing Zendaya and Storm’s great acting in person was amazing. Sam is a genius. He’ll see something in his imagination and tell us to do it, and it looks great every time. Sam is such a creative person and we’re grateful to be able to work with him.

How did you find out about the roles of Roy and Troy?
We found out about the roles because our agents at BYSB Talent sent us the audition. We didn’t know any information about this project besides the name.

The show has spawned thousands of memes on social media, but is there one that you found the funniest?
There’s a meme of Tyler and Zendaya from episode six where she’s all in his face. They have different captions for that picture and we find them all hilarious.

I know Drake is a producer of the show, did he ever make an appearance on the set?
TT: Drake appeared on set a few times, but never while we were on set. He was always on set when we were back in Atlanta.

What's next for you? Are there any upcoming projects you’re working on?
We will be releasing music very soon so stay tuned! Also, keep a look out for us on a movie screen near you! You can keep up with us on Instagram @trvptwinz or subscribe to our YouTube Channel: Trvp Twinz!
