Yo, Adrian. Action hero Sylvester Stallone just listed his custom-built Rocky-themed home in Beverly Hills Park for a whopping $130 million.
According to a report by The Dirt, the Academy Award-nominated actor and screenwriter plans to offload his Los Angeles mansion in favor of a $35.4 million property in Palm Beach, Florida. The price tag might induce sticker shock. Currently, it's the highest-priced home on the market in the LA neighborhood, and as the most expensive mansion ever sold in Beverly Park went for $40 million, it strikes a large margin.
Still, Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin put a lot of heart and soul into the home. The couple llived in the custom mansion for more than 20 years, having purchased the 21,000-square-foot, 3.5-acre property in the late '90s. Everything was designed and built by the couple from the ground up, crafting each inch of the eight-bedroom and 12-bathroom estate to their specific desires.
The one-of-a-kind property includes a large library with barrel-vaulted ceilings, a den with floor-to-cieling windows, and a custom dining room with walls hand-painted to look like that of a castle. The kitchen is new, complete with two islands.
What does it mean to be Rocky-themed? The house contains memorabilia from the films, including a statue of Rocky striking a celebratory pose which guards an arched window within the home. No word on if the memorabilia comes with the sale.
The luxury of the mansion’s interior matches the exterior. The property includes a two-bedroom guest house and an “extensive service wing” with views of the Los Angeles skyline and surrounding mountains, as well as a pool and golf putting course.
Stallone and Flavin were only one celebrity home in the exclusive, gated neighborhood. Whoever buys the estate can look forward to living near Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Mark Wahlburg and other A-listers.
The planned-move to Florida is anything but a loss for the happy couple. The new Palm Beach abode sits on 1.5 acres and boasts 250 feet of private waterfront. We can’t wait to see how they decorate.
