Super Bowl LIX became the most-watched telecast ever on Feb. 9 when the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Kansas City Chiefs, beating the reigning champions 40 to 22. The world tuned in for the big game, but many also watched for star-studded performances that left everlasting excitement in the air. From Jon Baptiste’s National Anthem to Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, see below for every performance at the 2025 Super Bowl.
Ahead of kick-off, Lady Gaga treated a Bourbon Street crowd inclusive of police officers, firefighters and football fans to a special rendition of “Hold My Hand,” her song from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack. Introduced by Michael Strahan and Tom Brady, the performance was dedicated to the victims of recent U.S. tragedies, including the New Year’s truck attack in New Orleans and the Los Angeles wildfires. Accompanied by 125 New Orleans high school students, singer-songwriter Ledisi wowed with a rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The New Orelans-native artist’s performance coincided with the hymn’s 125th anniversary. Watch here.
Supported by fellow Louisiana native Trombone Shorty, Lauren Daigle sang “America, the Beautiful.” The Grammy-winning artists set the tone for an awe-inspiring presentation of the colors and military flyover demonstration. Watch here.
Fresh off a Grammy win, Jon Batiste invigorated Caesars Superdome with emotion with his National Anthem performance. “Singing at the Super Bowl in my hometown stadium, midfield at a piano my wife painted was truly a full circle life experience,” the Lousiana-born artist reflected on Instagram. Also coming off Grammys domination, Kendrick Lamar treated Super Bowl attendees to a masterclass in hip-hop artistry. Notably donning Celine by Hedi Slimane jeans, he executed 11 songs across 13 minutes, highlighting hits like “Humble” and “Not Like Us.” The show had plenty of star power with Samuel L. Jackson acting as emcee and fellow Compton icon Serena Williams making a dance cameo. As the set passed the halfway mark, frequent collaborator Sza arrived to assist on “Luther” and “All the Stars.” Lamar closed out with an appearance from producer Mustard and GNX track “TV off.” Watch here.
