If you love the show Snowfall as much as we do, you definitely have to check out the pop-up celebrating the new season. Mark your calendars for Feb 19 to 20 because community pop-up Saint’s on Crenshaw will be in South Los Angeles from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Saint’s on Crenshaw is a free 18+ event, but make sure you reserve your tickets online before they sell out. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this immersive experience! The event will feature storefronts from local Black businesses, like Bricks & Wood, Post 21, JéBlanc and Queen LA, with art done by the talented DomoINK. Food and drink will also be available and provided by Hank’s Mini Market, Harun and Crenshaw Juice Co for fans that need to refuel after shopping.
Not only will the community pop-up give guests the chance to support local black-owned small businesses, but they also will be collaborating with community organizations. These organizations include Vector 90, a community workspace, and Destination Crenshaw, a nonprofit that boosts up the Black community through art and culture. Located in “Franklin’s Office,” they will both be awaiting to share with fans information about their respective organizations. In particular, Destination Crenshaw is all about boosting economic development, job creation and environmental healing of the local community.
Season Five will debut on Feb. 23 at 10 P.M. ET on FX and will be available for streaming on Hulu the next day. Snowfall follows the life of three unlikely friends during the height of the cocaine epidemic in LA during the 1980s. Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), who was the inspiration for the pop-up, is on the hunt for power and success. However, because he is a black man, his options are limited. When Franklin got into the cocaine business, though, everything changed for him and his family. Now that the Saint family is richer than they ever thought possible, Franklin can finally get his foot in the door for real estate. What will happen to the family? Will everything work out, or will the money tear them apart?
