Rihanna is back. And no, unfortunately not with new music. But granted it’s a brand-new installment of the Savage X Fenty Show, we are more than grateful. Get ready to cozy up on your couch for what is arguably the best fashion extravaganza of the year. Though it comes after major events like New York Fashion Week and the Met Gala, there is nothing quite accessible and enticing as Rih’s television event. At its core, it's a runway show. But in consideration of how groundbreaking the lingerie line has been in the industry, the Savage X Fenty Show is really a celebration of fearlessness, confidence and inclusivity. Read on for everything you need to know.
Beginning Sept. 24, Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3 will stream only on Amazon Prime Video. The fashion special will be available worldwide, giving Navy fans from more than 240 countries and territories access to the premier Rihanna content we have been craving all year.
As we know from the first two volumes, the Savage X Fenty Show is anything but a typical runway event. It’s a full-fledged entertainment experience that ebbs and flows at the behest of music, often in the form of live performances. This year’s acts will feature the talents of global superstars Nas, Daddy Yankee, BIA, Ricky Martin, Jade Novah, Normani and Jazmine Sullivan.
In addition to the artist lineup, Rihanna curates a pool of star-studded talent to showcase her Savage X Fenty line and includes some of our favorite actors, athletes and supermodels. Keep your eye out for Adriana Lima, Aleali May, Alek Wek, Alva Claire, Behati Prinsloo, Bella Poarch, Eartheater, Emily Ratajkowski, Erykah Badu, Gigi Hadid, Gottmik, Irina Shayk, Jeremy Pope, Joan Smalls, Jojo T. Gibbs, Leiomy, Lola Leon, Lucky Blue Smith, Lauren Wasser, Mena Massoud, Nyjah Huston, Precious Lee, Princess Gollum, Raisa Flowers, Sabrina Carpenter, Soo Joo Park, The Symone, Thuso Mbedu, Troye Sivan and Vanessa Hudgens, among others. No doubt Rih has some surprises in store.
This New Zealand artist has been a longtime collaborator with Rihanna. Aside from helming the Savage X Fenty show choreography each year, you’ve likely seen Goebel’s work on some of the world’s biggest stages. Her long, impressive resume includes Jennifer Lopez’s astounding Super Bowl halftime show and Justin Beiber’s beloved “Sorry” music video. She has also received Emmy nominations for her choreography for the previous two Savage X Fenty shows.
Vol. 3 intentionally coincides with the release of the all-new Savage X Fenty collection, which will be available on its namesake website and through Amazon. After ingesting a fashion-entertainment spectacular that encourages all bodies to bring out their inner baddie, you might just have to take a peek at Rihanna’s highly-praised selection of lingerie, underwear and sleepwear.
