The 2022 Academy Awards are on. Right along Hollywood and Highland, entertainment’s biggest stars have already begun walking to the red carpet right outside the Dolby Theatre.
The 94th annual ceremony is special for a number of reasons. Last time the event converged in person at its traditional Hollywood home was in 2020. Over the last two years, it has taken place virtually and in downtown Los Angeles, so we’re excited as ever for the Oscars to be back in full swing— glamor and all.
In addition, the Academy Awards have notably gone without a host for a number of years. However, this year audiences are graced with not one, but three hosts. With Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall and Amy Schumer leading the way, we are sure to be in for a whole lot of laughs, along with the year’s best cinematic moments.
The Oscars are really leaning into its “Movie Lovers Unite” theme. You can tell by how everyone that has hit the red carpet so far are really bringing their A-game.

Ariana DeBose is proving that red is always right for the red carpet in a fiery multi-piece ensemble, as does Tracee Ellis Ross in Carolina Herrera. Meanwhile, the Haim sisters are out in full-force in support of Licorice Pizza star Alana Haim and are all three shining in Louis Vuitton. As usual, Timothee Chalamet is turning heads in a suit-sans-shirt look.
The Oscars begin at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET and are airing on ABC. See more red carpet looks below.
