Before Trevor Noah guides us through the 2022 Grammy Awards, our eyes are zeroing in on the red carpet outside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
For music’s biggest night, the industry’s biggest stars are showing up in their best fashion. So far, we’ve seen Lil Nas X in Balmain, Olivia Rodrigo in Vivienne Westwood and a whole lot of Valentino, particularly in the form of hot pink ensembles from the Italian fashion house (see: Saweetie and Billy Porter).
As the stars have descended upon the carpet, The Recording Academy has announced a number of winners. We’ll have to wait until the premiere ceremony for big ones like Album and Song of the Year, but Olivia Rodrigo has already won her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance. Other winners include Rüfüs Du Sol for Best Dance/Electronic Recording (“Alive”), Foo Fighters for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song (“Making a Fire,” “Waiting on a War”) and Bad Bunny for Best Música Urbana Album (El Último Tour Del Mundo).
The 2022 Grammys were originally set for Jan. 31, but moved to April 3 as a result of surging COVID-19 cases during the post-holiday period. Luckily, our favorite stars are all still set to take the stage. We can expect more great fashion moments and stellar performances from Rodrigo, Lady Gaga, H.E.R., Billie Eilish and more.
See more of the red carpet below. The Grammys begin at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount Plus.
