If you’ve driven around Los Angeles lately, it’s highly likely you’ve come across the abundance of FYC billboards.
Now the push for your consideration might not be for you (unless you happen to be a Television Academy member), but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in on the fun of Emmy season.
For local TV fanatics, Prime Video is putting on FYC Fest so that Angelenos can get in on the excitement. Get ready for your favorite small screen universes to come to life.
From Aug. 12 to 14, Prime Video will celebrate its 30 Emmy nominations with FYC Fest, a festival rotating around the city with outdoor activations inspired by the streamer’s nominated titles.
Touching down throughout the city, FYC Fest will pop up in Sherman Oaks, Santa Monica and West Hollywood: one stop per day over the course of the three-day event. Fans will have the opportunity to make a hole-in-one at the festival’s mini golf games inspired by the likes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, Lucy and Desi, and The Boys Presents: Diabolical.
Other activities include decorating your own tote bag, helping bring to life a giant art installation and practicing your aim with a target game themed to The Boys Presents: Diabolical. After, you’ll want to be sure to make stops at the various photo opps and food trucks, which will serve up on-theme bites and drinks.
After celebrating your favorite shows at FYC Fest, be sure to see who wins at the 74th Primetime Emmys Awards on Sept. 12 on NBC. Don’t forget to note on your calendars: this year’s ceremony takes place on a Monday instead of the usual Sunday slot.
