How to Make an Official Governor's Ball Tequila Don Julio Cocktail

One of Hollywood's most important days of the year is around the corner.—A time of glamour, fashion, and of course delicious food and classy cocktails to ring in the celebrations. The 94th Oscars will be held March 27 with the exclusive Governers Ball to follow. The Governors Ball is an invite-only after-show experience for guests to eat, drink and say cheers to celebrate their success.

He will also collaborate with Bronx-based culinary collective Ghetto Gastro, who blends influences from the African diaspora, and Southern global ingredients. Limelight Margarita

Ingredients

• 1 ¼ oz Tequila Don Julio Blanco
• ½ oz elderflower liqueur
• 5 dash honeysuckle vinegar
• ¾ fresh lime juice
• ¼ oz simple syrup

Preparation

1. Combine Tequila Don Julio Blanco, elderflower liqueur, honeysuckle vinegar, lime, and simple syrup in a Boston shaker with ice
2. Shake well and pour into a chilled coupe glass
3. Mist with orange flower water and garnish with edible flowers

Picture Perfect Paloma

Ingredients

• 1 ¼ oz Tequila Don Julio Reposado
• ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
• 2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
• 8 Muddled Mint Leaves
• ½ oz Simple Syrup
• ½ oz Sparkling Wine

Preparation:

1. Combine Tequila Don Julio Reposado, lime, grapefruit and mint leaves in a Boston shaker
2. Muddle gently to extract mint oils
3. Add ice and shake lightly
4. Double strain into a salt-rimmed collins glass with ice
5. Top with sparkling wine and stir to combine
6. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs

Old Hollywood Fashioned

Ingredients

• 1 ⅓ oz Tequila Don Julio Añejo
• ¼ oz Dry Oloroso Sherry
• ¼ oz Barrel-Aged Truffled Maple Syrup
• 3 Dashes Truffle Bitters

Preparation:

1. Combine Tequila Don Julio Añejo, dry oloroso sherry, truffled maple syrup and truffle bitters over ice in a mixing glass
2. Stir well to chill and dilute
3. Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass
4. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprig

The Class Act

Ingredients

• 1 ½ oz Tequila Don Julio 1942
• On a Small Bamboo Demitasse Spoon:
  • Small dab of chocolate ganache
  • Thinly sliced mushrooms poached in oloroso sherry
  • Caviar

Preparation

1. Pour Tequila Don Julio 1942 into a refined tasting glass
2. Layer chocolate ganache, sherry-poached mushrooms and top with caviar onto a small bamboo demitasse spoon and serve alongside glass of Tequila Don Julio 1942
