The most popular kids Halloween movie technically doesn’t even have anything to do with Halloween.
In a new report compiled by USDish, Scooby-Doo came out on top as 13 states’ most searched kids Halloween movie. Right behind it are Coraline (10), Ghostbusters (8) and Beetlejuice (5).
Much of the West Coast favors Coraline. The stop-motion movie was the most searched for California, Nevada, Utah, Washington and Arizona. However, Oregon stands out with Halloweentown coming in as its top choice. It makes sense given the Disney Channel Original Movie filmed in St. Helens.
The popularity of Scooby-Doo is evident when you look to the South and Midwest. Minnesota, Kansas, Louisiana and Alabama, among others all favor the beloved spooky mystery.
Fittingly, Salem-set Hocus Pocus was the most searched in a number of New England states, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
