You Could Win an Original Keepsake from ‘Love, Actually'

Love, Actually is a beloved Christmas rewatch for a plethora of reasons. From its stacked cast to the fantastic soundtrack, the intermingling lives of a handful of Londoners really captures the Christmas spirit we all so desperately seek in getting through the holidays.

Well now is your chance to acquire a piece of adored movie.

The Wallis Annenberg Performing Arts Center is putting on Love, Actually Live now until Dec. 31 and with the performance run is your opportunity to take home a rare item from the movie production. As a fundraiser for Red Nose Day, you can enter a silent auction to win an original film cell from the first printing of Love, Actually. Of all the movie’s iconic moments, the film cell is truly special because it is the big moment when Mark (Andrew Lincoln) silently professes his love to Juliet (Kiera Knightly), namely with the sign that reads, “To me, you are perfect.”

The auctioned item will come framed and include a note from Love, Actually writer-director Richard Curtis, who also happened to co-found Red Nose Day. Since it started in the U.S. in 2015, Red Nose Day has raised more than $270 million, resulting in an impact of over 25 million lives of children around the world. Overall, the organization works to raise funds for children living in poverty at home and internationally.

The film cell is valued up to a whopping $18,000— a fair price, we’d say, for a piece of holiday cinematic history. If you’re looking to definitively support Red Nose Day without all the bidding and waiting of the auction, just be sure to attend Love, Actually Live. Each performance offers the sale of limited-edition t-shirts, of which 100 percent of proceeds go toward the Red Nose Day Foundation. The souvenir tee comes designed by acclaimed artist and author Charlie Mackesy.

At the performance, you can also donate, at minimum, $5 to the organization, which will grant you a decorative bow to adorn the holiday tree in the Wallis lobby. Theater-goers are encouraged to write a note before hanging it on the tree.
