A pair of LA power gals preside over jaw-dropping art collections.
In the case of two Angeleno multihyphenates, it’s not the opulence of their Bev Hills and Pac Pali mansions that’s most impressive—though they are indeed spectacularly designed—but their art collections. Sydney Holland has followed her passions to find success and money via film production, investments and real estate, among other pursuits, while Laura Dunn went from fashion model to luxury fashion editor and TV travel host of The Jet Set. Between them: a museum’s worth of world-class canvases from Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso to Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons. Eat your art out, LACMA.

Collecting since... “I collected for fun in my 20s. In my late 30s, I started seriously collecting.” How so? “I got more involved with museums by sitting on boards and visiting them frequently, learning as much as I could about modern art. I then started working with an art advisor, who helped me build a collection based on my interests. But I rarely buy what people tell me to buy—I always lead with how it makes me feel.
