Last week, renowned interior designer, Lisa Koch, hosted a group of LA tastemakers at the iconic Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood to celebrate the completion of her latest renovation project alongside hotelier, Jeff Klein. The intimate event kicked off with mingling at The Tower Bar before heading for a private walkthrough of the coveted Townhouse and Penthouse suites where Lisa explained the details of the renovation, inspiration behind each room and how the hardest part of the project was the delicate balance of elevating while maintaining the old-Hollywood charm the hotel is known for.
Famed artist and creative director of Estee Lauder, Donald Robertson, who worked with Lisa in creating the notable gold and black wall-paper in every bathroom of the hotel, was one of the guests of the evening who showcased his work to guests throughout the walkthrough.
After the walkthrough, guests were invited to join Lisa for a four-course private dinner overlooking Hollywood at the reimagined Terrace Bar, one of her favorite parts of the project, the Terrace is bright and airy, with custom pink suede semi-circular banquettes and sofas accented by potted palm trees.
Guests also enjoyed live music from Sunset Tower's resident band and all went home with Donald Robertson designed candles. Notable guests included: Creative Director and Founder of LPA, Pia Arrobio and her husband Davide Baroncini; serial fashion-brand entrepreneur Jessie Andrews; President and Co-Founder of Proper Hospitality Group, Brian de Lowe and his wife, Co-Founder of lifestyle media brand, How You Glow, Jessie de Lowe; Founder of Lust for Life, Olivia Lopez; Boutique Venture Capital firm Founder, Sarah Simon; among many others.
Lisa has designed and executed a multitude of projects for both residential and hospitality clients. Her most recent work includes The Sunset Tower Hotel which was praised by The New York Times, The Financial Times, and Forbes Travel Guide. Past work includes the Faena Hotel in Miami, 850 Hotel, San Vincente Bungalows and she is currently working with The Rockwell Group on Warner Music's new headquarters.
She is known for blending a traditional aesthetic with clean lines to create elegant and timeless interiors, which is clearly showcased at the Sunset Tower property. She specializes in client collaboration from ideation through construction and installation. She also offers a wide range of interior project management services.
