Tired of the usual grocery haul from your local supermarket? Monday through Sunday, there’s a farmers market full of fresh produce and baked goods ready for your patronage.

Altadena Farmer’s Market


The Altadena Farmer’s Market is open Wednesdays in the fall and winter from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (spring and summer are slightly later hours). Be sure to check out Bliss Premium Avocados (they grow absolutely delicious ones just begging to be slathered on toast), Star Sky Granola (organic, gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and non-GMO) and Beyond the Olive (to die for olive oils and balsamic vinegars), a few of the vendors. 600 W. The Highland Park Farmer’s Market

This eclectic farmers market on Marmion Way and Avenue 57 has been in operation for years. Every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., enjoy hot handmade pizza, locally grown fruits and veggies and seasonal items. There’s also live music to get you in the post-work mood. N. Helen Albert Certified Farmer’s Market

This Plummer Park’s north parking lot is located at 1200 N. Vista St. in West Hollywood and features organic and farm fresh delicious fruits and vegetables, flowers, fresh fish and baked goods. Fresh hot food is also served on the premises, like cumin rotisserie chicken. The Lancaster Farmer’s Market


Take a slight road trip and begin a long weekend to the Lancaster Farmer’s Market, open Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy craft goods, freshly prepared food and local produce. Pears are currently in season as are ripe, juicy blackberries. Enjoy homemade food just like your mom used to make, like delicious tamales. Pasadena Certified Farmer’s Market-Victory Park

The Pasadena Certified Farmer’s Market at Victory Park is celebrating 33 years of serving the community. The market is open Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Enjoy delicious fruits, veggies and more. Monrovia Street Fair and Market

Take the whole family to this weekly community event in the center of Old Town Monrovia. Fresh local produce for sale at a traditional farmer’s market is combined with live music and prepared food.
