A new star has been tagged to represent L'Oréal Paris, but the glory is not H.E.R.s alone.
Singer-songwriter and musician H.E.R. has been named the new face of the French beauty brand, starring in a new campaign that puts her signature style and comfortable aura under a stunning spotlight.
Most of all, L'Oréal Paris wants to highlight and champion her messaging and political spirit, extending her power-to-the-people ethos to shine a light on the beauty in every body.
"When I use my voice, I need to stand 100 percent with what I represent," H.E.R. is quoted in a press release. "I'm beyond happy to join L'Oreal Paris, and to add my voice to this sisterhood representing the diversity of beauty on this planet, with the message for every girl to know her worth deep in her heart."
It’s a bright moment for H.E.R. indeed. The L'Oréal Paris news comes on the heels of eight Grammy 2022 nominations, including a nod for the honorable Album of the Year prize, putting the 24-year-old musician and activist among the second-most nominated in this year’s class.

Awards, accolades and attention are nothing new for the guitar-wielding star. She’s earned 21 Grammy nominations in total, counting five wins including “Song of the Year” for 2021’s powerful single “I Can’t Breathe.” She even won an Oscar last year for her song “Fight For You” from the award-winning film Judas and the Black Messiah.
Both of those tunes speak to H.E.R.’s strong political element. She’s unafraid to speak her mind and stand against racism, violence, inequality and social imbalance of all kinds. It’s that strength, solidarity and earnestness that caught L'Oréal Paris’ eyes. She’s become an impressive and influential voice for her generation, and she takes up the cosmetic crown only alongside her torch for justice.

That powerful statement is just as relevant today as it was when introduced to the world 40 years ago. I can’t wait to be part of helping to shape what it means for the next generation of women to feel #worthit!”
