Inside the Avalon Hollywood, the stars and creative teams from films like Nope, Bones & All, The Woman King, Till, Women Talking and more dove into the essential nature of their behind-the-camera teams. See below for what happened inside the 12th annual Hamilton Awards.
Hamilton Watches CEO Vivian Stauffer and host Fortune Feimster kick off the ceremony with a high five.
Academy Award winner Carey Mulligan presented She Said screenwriter Rebecca Lenkiewicz with the screenwriter award. “I hope [audiences] take away that abuse of power is never acceptable and that anyone who’s been victimized feels some solidarity with the people in the film,” Lenkiewicz told Modern Luxury earlier in the evening on the red carpet.
“When it came to actually making Nope, I literally could not have done it without the brilliant vision of Guillame Rocheron. I quickly realized there are a few reasons people don’t make UFO movies that often,” Jordan Peele said during his presentation of the VFX award to Rocheron.

Paul Dano presents Karen O’Hara with the set decorator award for her work on Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans.
“When you’re tasked with designing a space that most of the actors are confined to, it’s really a cross between film and theater and you have to keep that place visually interesting for an entire movie,” honoree Ethan Tobman explained about being the production designer for The Menu.
Laura Dern and writer-director-producer Florian Zeller presented Ben Smithard with the cinematography award for his work on The Son.
As part of the all-star cast in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Kathryn Hahn honored Rian “With An I” Johnson with the Visionary Award. Upon acceptance, Johnson questioned how he could follow up Hahn’s animated speech.
Director Gina Prince-Bythewood and actress Thuso Mbedu honored the creatives behind The Woman King.
The team behind Women Talking gathered on the stage to celebrate their important film. Honorees included costume designer Quita Alfred, cinematographer Luc Montpellier, editor Roslyn Kalloo, editor Christopher Donaldson and production designer Peter Cosco.
Bones and All star Taylor Russell presented director Luca Guadagnino with the director’s award, during which she deemed him one of the most bold directors of our time.
The Till actors and Hamilton Award presenters celebrate backstage.
Upon receiving their awards, all honorees from the ceremony got to pick out their very own Hamilton watch.
The two friends caught up backstage after inspiring a roomful of laughs.
