Gabby Morrison is only in the early stages of her career and already has 3.7 million followers on TikTok. The 21-year-old actress-dancer-content creator amassed a loyal following through authentic videos on beauty tips, traveling, personal style and moments with loved ones (whether that’s having a themed picnic with her best friends or globetrotting with her boyfriend).
As Morrison continues to work on Lagoon— a new skincare line with Beaubble for people with sensitive skin just like her— LA Confidential caught up with her about how she got into beauty, career plans and why Lagoon is such a personal project.
Can you tell us about your TikTok journey?
My TikTok journey has definitely changed throughout time because the app itself was developing during the time that my account was! When I started TikTok, it was just for fun. I was not looking to do TikTok for a living! So, for the first year I was having so much fun and sharing a lot of dance content, relationship content and just following trends. From just doing that, I gained a large following and continued to grow rapidly as I continued to be consistent.
At the end of 2020, I started to take social media more seriously. I think my turning point was actually the pandemic because I had to leave the college campus I was enrolled in. I really dove into social media full time.

You’ve partnered with brands like Macys, Function of Beauty, GHD and Cover Girl. Were you always interested in working in the beauty and style space or has getting into content creation nurtured this passion?
I feel like for a while I was just learning how to do my own hair and makeup. I started wearing makeup a little later than most, but I really just wanted to do what I felt good in, which overtime I realized was minimal makeup looks and coverage. I became obsessed with the no makeup look and really got into finding products that enhanced my looks. As I got questions regarding my makeup and hair, I fell in love with sharing with others how I achieve these looks. So, I would say yes— my love for working and sharing my beauty and style came from content creation.
You’ve also had a number of acting roles. Is acting something you’d like to pursue more or are you more interested in other areas for your talent?
Yes! I fell in love with working on set, and especially after I joined acting classes I really fell in love with acting. I would love to act more and am currently working on building my resume and getting more work!

What is your top priority for you and your platform?
I hope that my content puts a smile on people’s faces. I hope that they have someone they can relate to and have a little escape from whatever is going on. As someone who has always been in entertainment and performing, nothing makes me feel better than when someone tells me they got joy from my performance.

You’re working on a new body-care line called Lagoon with Beaubble. Why did this feel like the right direction for your next step in the beauty space?
After partnering with so many amazing brands over the years and trying so many different products that were sent to me, I feel like I really had so much respect and love for the business side of things! I also just had become so particular about what I love about certain products and don't love, and I could envision my own perfect product for myself and what I would like to see in the beauty industry for people like me!
Lagoon is a personal passion project. How has your own experience with body care prepared you for this?
I’ve learned so much about what consistencies and type of products work for and with my sensitive skin and eczema. In the beginning, I was so fearful to try new products or even to try anything. When I was young, I literally thought skin care and body care was bad for my skin and I should just stick to water and the soap I was used to because anything else would irritate me. I've learned so much of what is OK for my skin so that I can achieve my hydrated skin goals without irritation.
In addition to helping enrich and improve the skin of people with sensitive skincare issues, what else do you hope to offer through Lagoon?
I hope to offer glowy, lasting hydrated skin for all! I love when my skin looks hydrated and because my skin is extremely dry, lots of people think super thick products are the way to go, but having a load of product on your skin cannot look good and lots of dirt can stick to it. I want to make products that will hydrate all skin!
