A DJ titan, Deadmau5 is bringing the Retro5spective: 25 years of Deadmau5 tour to the Hollywood Bowl in April. Read on for everything you need to know about attending the show.
Deadmau5 will grace the Hollywood Bowl stage on April 27 to immerse concert goers in his electro-house experience. While gates open to the venue at 5:30 p.m., the all-ages show starts at 7 p.m. You can expect opener/ German techno marching band Meute to warm up the stage, in addition to a number of other special guests. The L.A. show will be extra special with performances by artists who have been apart of Deadmau5's decades-long musical journey: BSOD, Hayla, Kiesza, Lights and WTF? Also, mega fans looking to start the fun a little early should head to Amoeba Hollywood on April 25 at noon where Deadmau5 will have an intimate in-store appearance.
It is not necessary to bring a clear bag, but it is essential that your bag is measured 15”x15”x22” and it must be able to fit under your seat. Containers, picnic baskets or coolers that are measured above the standard will be denied at entrance. Furthermore, Deadmau5's show is not presented by the L.A. Philharmonic, but rather Live Nation, meaning you can't bring in any outside wine, beers or other alcohol, even if sealed.
In order to park at the Hollywood Bowl, you are required to have a parking pass. Make sure you avoid parking in the surrounding neighborhoods because doing so might result in a hefty fine. You can opt for the Park & Ride service, which has timed bus departures in locations all around L.A. County. On the other hand, the Bowl Shuttle has continuous service from four locations close to the venue, and it is free to users who have Metro or Metrolink tickets. Departures start as early as two-and-a-half hours before the concert starts, and the last shuttle departs when the concert starts. The shuttle will begin bringing guests back 20 minutes after the concert ends.
The Hollywood Bowl makes it easy for a concert night feast. Loading up on the fried chicken and more, you can enjoy the craftsmanship of James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and restauranteur Caroline Styne of a.o.c., Cara Cara and Caldo Verde. However, if you feel like trying out a nearby restaurant, set a reservation now for the likes of Katsuya or Lemon Grove. Read our full list of suggested pre-show restaurants.
Get ready for a high-energy performance by Deadmau5 as he celebrates over two decades of iconic hits. This concert promises an incredible auditory experience with captivating visuals. Known for his remarkable stage productions, this show will be an unforgettable ride.
