LA just got a little bit more delicious. The Culinistas, the in-home, personal chef service for weekly meal preparation and special occasions, has officially arrived in Los Angeles. True to form, The Culinistas celebrated with food, lots of it. The rapidly expanding company took up residence at a stunning Malibu home for the week, hosting lunches, brunches and dinners for LA’s finest. Founder Tiana Tenet told us, "We always listen to our clients, so when they asked us about the West Coast, we packed up and headed to LA. In a city where people love spending time in their homes, we can't wait to show them what their kitchens can do."
"We're so excited to cook in a city in which sunshine is an ingredient." Co-Founder Jill Donenfeld told us, "Our dishes help you feel good, sit together at the table and live in the moment."
The Culinistas is available in NYC, Los Angeles, Aspen and the Hamptons. They develop seasonal and classic menus and work with expert chefs who grocery shop for the best ingredients, cook in the home kitchen and clean-up. Each step of their service is tailored to their clientele’s everyday or entertaining needs to enjoy quality meals that fit quietly into their lives.
The Culinistas was founded by two women, Jill Donenfeld and Tiana Tenet. Jill comes from a decade-long career in the culinary world, Tiana from finance and business. The chefs they work with come from some of the top restaurant kitchens and culinary schools across the country.
They have an in-house test kitchen and their culinary team creates all of their recipes...500 and counting in the library! Donenfeld and Tenet developed all of their own technology and use a tech-enabled platform to bring the service to more cities and homes.
The Culinistas have over 100 chefs on the platform, (65% of which are female) and have served up 25,000 meals to date.
