Chrissy Teigen lives a charmed life. She is a model, has a wonderful family, and she's a best-selling cookbook author. I'm pretty sure I'm missing some things, but you get the picture. Teigen's first cookbook Cravings was a huge hit, and her latest, Cravings: Hungry for More, has taken off right where Cravings left off.
With so much light in her life, maybe it shouldn't be a surprise that Chrissy Teigen likes a good true crime book (or two) every once in a while. And as true crime goes, we think she's made excellent recommendations.
"Truly one of the best (crime/mystery) books I have ever read! I am fascinated by murder mysteries (docs, movies, books—you name it), and this book is like "Making a Murderer" but in the Japanese underground world. I grew up watching a lot of Dateline-type shows with my mom and to this day, we love playing detective and trying to figure out who did it."
"I know, I know—another dark, crime novel but I seriously can't stop. There's drugs, sex, music, and murder, so I would say it’s a bit more flashy than the last book. And it was nominated for the Edgar Award for best true-crime book of the year, so proof that my recommendations are great!"
"This book really sheds light on the downside of our social media-driven world these days. As much as I love Twitter, even I get hesitant to post certain things due to the fear of what the internet trolls might say. This book shows how damaging internet shaming can be and the consequences it has."
