An incredible 131.24-carat spinel (fourth-largest in the world by carat weight), a 93-carat cabochon Colombian emerald nestled in the jaws of a bejeweled snake, and over 500 carats of cushion-cut Paraíba tourmalines (the rarest gems in the world). These are just some of the jaw-dropping precious gems BVLGARI creative director Lucia Silvestri unearthed for the brand’s most astounding high jewelry collection to date, which includes more than 350 designs, 122 of which are new. Over 100,000 hours of master artistry were poured into the museumworthy collection, which was conceived to honor both Rome and a variety of fearless female muses and was first unveiled in Milan in recognition of the heavy toll that this northern city endured during the pandemic.

The one-of-a-kind jewels conceived as versatile, convertible pieces to be worn in a variety of ways are works of art that celebrate the Roman maison’s legacy of the finest gems, creativity and craft smanship. With 60 jewels worth over 1 million euros each, the Magnifica collection marks the maison’s most valuable—and certainly the most magnificent—high jewelry collection in its 137-year history of creating the finest jewels. A brilliant homage to art and beauty, the collection pays tribute to the resilience of optimism and human endeavor. “It’s incredibly important to share joy and beauty right now,” says Silvestri. “Magnifica is an ode to both, expressed through the wonders of color and master craft smanship.”
