The 2022 Billboard Music Awards were all about the music, but we also couldn’t help but appreciate the fashion. From Dove Cameron’s well-worth-it risk to Mari Copeny’s youthfully exuberant arrival, see below for the best dressed stars from this year’s BBMAs.
Dove Cameron
The 26-year-old actress stunned in a red gown from Ashlyn’s spring summer 2022 collection. Keeping her hair simple, Cameron’s dress featured a tasteful, artsy cutout from the neckline to the waist and faded from a deep red to a transparent scarlet.
DJ Khaled
The music mogul was fresh as a daisy in a lavender suit that he matched with a deeper purple pair of Air Jordans. Always on brand, DJ Khlaed’s custom Nikes had engraved “We the Best '' engraved on the back of his left shoe.
Mari Copeny
Little Miss Flint was awarded as this year’s BBMAs Change Maker. To celebrate the occasion, the 14-year-old donned a fluorescent lime green gown by Shay Oliver.
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly
The engaged pair prove again and again that they are the IT goth-glam couple of Hollywood. Megan Fox wowed in a David Koma gown with a thigh-high slit and that paired with silver flower-embellished black gloves. Self-described as an “emo cactus,” MGK complemented her in a spiky Dolce & Gabbana suit and offered a splash of color with his pink locks.
Doja Cat
The fact that Doja Cat pulled off making pasties a winning accessory is a true fashion feat. Even better were the saturn purse and draping beige train that certified her as best dressed. Styled by Brett Alan Nelson, she wore head-to-toe Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry with the gold pasties courtesy of Agent Provocateur and rings by Bijules Jewelry.
Miranda Lambert and Elle King
The red carpet was full of great looks, but one of our favorites came right from the BBMAs stage. To perform their duet Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home), the powerhouse singers sported matching suits embellished with colorful patches, with Lambert distinguishing her look with extra-long light electric blue fringe and King with a rich green corset.
