Whether you’re watching from your bed or living room couch, in front of the silver screen is the place to be these days as evidenced by the fantastic 2022 TV lineup. We can’t wait for the return of new favorites like Euphoria and Bridgerton and backbone streamer series like Ozark and Stranger Things. This year also welcomes the debut of what will surely become beloved television, such as Quinta Brunson’s Abbott Elementary, a workplace comedy at a Philadelphia public school, and the long-awaited Lord of the Rings series.
Many of the most highly-anticipated shows are still waiting on an official premiere date, but the TV slate just through March is enough to keep you busy for most of the year, especially if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t multitask while watching TV. Maybe consider notching the speed up to 1.5x on Netflix? Speaking of the pioneering streaming, Inventing Anna is set to premiere in February. Shondaland’s newest project is an adaptation of an out-of-this world exposé, “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York's Party People,” that is rife with scandal, excess and New York glam. As Euphoria rounds out its new season, it’ll be the perfect antidote to your needs for a fun, wicked watch. Be sure to balance the drama with a bit of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which finally makes its return on Feb. 18.
