If you’re anything like me, then you absolutely love horror movies. There is truly no better genre than one that gets your adrenaline pumping through your veins from jump scares and had you sitting at the edge of your seat while peaking through the gaps in between your fingers. Even though life can feel like its own horror movie, I still try to convince my friends to watch every new film that comes out with me. For all of my fellow thrill seekers, here is a list of some of the best new horror movies that have come out in 2021.

Directed by Everado Gout, the Purge is back. In a world where all crime is legal on one night of the year, couple Adela (Ana de la Reguera) and Juan (Tenoch Huerta) have been successful living in Texas. Juan even impresses the patriarch, Caleb (Will Patton), of the ranch he works on, causing Caleb’s son, Dylan (Josh Lucas), to become extremely jealous and angry. On the morning after the Purge, masked killers decide to keep crime going and attack both families, forcing them to team up to fight back.

The third movie in the Conjuring series directed by Michael Chaves continues the Warren's investigations in demonic possessions. After a cop stumbles upon a man covered in blood, they must fight to prove his innocence by reason of demonic possession.
