Born in Paris, to Danish diplomat parents, designer Anne Sisteron began her love for timeless jewelry from an early age. Despite her natural talent and eye for distinction, her years working as a model for ELITE exposed her to the visions of designers around the world, further influencing her classic yet forward style. A believer that, “Great jewelry does not have to be unattainable and a collection should evolve over time, as the women wearing it do”
Sisteron brings an exquisite yet accessible collection for all. Sisteron’s jewelry line was established after much demand from family, friends and people on the street. Her background as a Graduate Gemologist and GIA Diamond Grader enables her to ensure that every piece she handpicks offers the finest quality craftsmanship for the best value. Sisteron currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons, her true inspirations
What was the original inspiration for your line?
ANNE SISTERON: I started my line about 20 years ago when there wasn’t really any ‘fun’ fine jewelry around. It was either the big brands like Cartier, Bulgari etc or fake custom jewelry. It wasn’t what I wanted to wear so as a GIA diamond grader and graduate gemologist I decided to take matters into my own hands and hence Anne Sisteron Fine Jewelry was born.
Who is the girl you design for?
AS: The girl I design for is me. It has to be my vision my taste, otherwise, it won’t feel authentic and I feel like people crave authenticity.
Your pieces are timeless yet modern, talk about your design ethos!
AS: I don’t ever like anything trendy, whether it is my clothes, home decor and certainly not my jewelry. I design for the long run, pieces that will stand the test of time!
What are some of your favorite pieces right now?
AS: The Love Lock necklace I think will always be in my top 3. I designed it inspired by the locks on the bridges in Paris. My husband is French and I am born in Paris, it is where we met so it is a very personal piece to me. Otherwise, I am obsessed with our new signature ring and as it is summer all of my special colored stone pieces that look great with white jeans all the way to super dressy gowns.
What are some of your favorite spots in LA?
AS: When in LA I am pretty much a homebody, as I travel so much. However, my whole family is obsessed with the Greek restaurant Estiatorio Louka on Canon Dr. in Beverly Hills. It is legitimately the best Greek food we have ever tasted! And it happens to be just down the street from my store and office.
